Embassy Developments Ltd is preparing for a significant increase in construction activity this financial year, with the company planning to invest between ₹1,800 crore and ₹2,000 crore across its ongoing projects. The move comes as residential demand continues to remain resilient across major Indian cities, prompting developers to focus on faster execution and timely project delivery.

The Bengaluru-based developer, part of the Embassy Group, had invested nearly ₹1,200 crore in construction activities during FY26. The proposed increase in spending signals the company’s confidence in the housing market and its commitment to expanding its development footprint.

Managing Director Aditya Virwani said the company intends to deploy higher capital towards construction to maintain execution momentum and support a growing portfolio of residential projects. The strategy is aimed at ensuring that projects move forward without delays while meeting customer expectations in a market where timely delivery has become increasingly important.

The real estate sector has witnessed steady demand over the past few years, particularly in cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune. Improved infrastructure, rising urbanisation and growing homebuyer confidence have encouraged developers to launch new projects while accelerating work on existing developments.

Industry observers note that developers are increasingly prioritising execution as buyers become more selective and quality conscious. Faster construction progress not only improves cash flows but also strengthens customer confidence and enhances brand value.

Embassy Developments has been expanding its presence across key residential markets and continues to build a pipeline that caters to a broad spectrum of homebuyers. The company’s increased construction expenditure is expected to support project completion schedules while creating opportunities for contractors, consultants, suppliers and construction material manufacturers associated with its developments.

The investment also reflects the broader trend seen across India’s real estate sector, where leading developers are scaling up construction activity to capitalise on sustained housing demand. With several large projects under execution and new opportunities emerging in urban growth corridors, Embassy Developments appears focused on strengthening its position in one of the country’s most competitive property markets.

As the company steps up investments during FY27, the emphasis remains firmly on execution, delivery and long-term growth in India’s evolving residential real estate landscape.
