Synergy Advanced Metals Expands Stainless-Steel Portfolio With Cold-Drawn Profiles

Synergy Advanced Metals Ltd. (SAML), formerly known as Synergy Steels, has expanded its stainless-steel long-products portfolio with a new range of cold-drawn profiles aimed at precision-oriented industrial and engineering applications.

The new range includes hexagonal, square and flat bars, targeting manufacturers that require tighter dimensional tolerances, consistent quality and application-specific stainless-steel grades. The move comes as domestic stainless-steel consumption continues to record strong growth.

According to data from the Ministry of Steel cited by the company, India consumed 1.282 million tonnes of stainless steel between April and June 2026, marking a 27.5% year-on-year increase. Stainless-steel imports also rose sharply during the period, increasing 86.7% to 310,400 tonnes.

New cold-drawn stainless-steel range

SAML’s latest products are designed for applications where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are important. The company will offer hexagonal bars in sizes ranging from 5 mm to 19 mm, while square bars will be available from 5 mm to 16 mm.

The products can be supplied with h9 and h11 tolerances, with lengths ranging from one metre to six metres. Flat bars will be available in widths of 5 mm to 20 mm, thicknesses of up to 10 mm and lengths of one metre to six metres.

The portfolio covers several stainless-steel grades, including AISI 410 and 420 martensitic grades, AISI 430 ferritic grade, AISI 304 and 316 austenitic grades, along with AISI 201 and 204Cu utility grades.

Customers can opt for cold-drawn products as well as cold-drawn-and-polished variants. The company will also accommodate customised specifications, subject to minimum order quantities.

Targeting precision engineering demand

Cold-drawn stainless-steel profiles are commonly used in precision-machined components, industrial fasteners, valves, fittings, flanges and engineering assemblies. Tighter dimensional control can help manufacturers improve machining efficiency and maintain consistency across components.

For SAML, the expansion also broadens its presence across the stainless-steel long-products value chain. The company already manufactures stainless-steel billets, wire rods, bright bars, flats and industrial fasteners.

With vertically integrated manufacturing operations, the company is seeking to increase its ability to serve engineering and industrial customers looking for specialised stainless-steel products.

The latest portfolio addition comes against a backdrop of rising stainless-steel consumption in India, while higher imports are also increasing competition in the domestic market. By focusing on specialised, precision-oriented products, SAML is positioning the new range toward applications where product specifications and consistency are important considerations.
