As demand for modern logistics infrastructure continues to grow across India, Chennai-based NDR Group is stepping up its investments in warehousing and industrial real estate with projects valued at more than ₹2,000 crore currently under development.
The company is building approximately 7 million sq ft of warehousing and industrial park space through its development platform, NDR Smart Spaces. The expansion comes at a time when manufacturing activity, e-commerce growth and supply chain diversification are driving strong demand for organised logistics facilities across the country.
Industry experts believe India’s warehousing sector is entering a new phase of growth, supported by rising consumption, expansion of manufacturing clusters and increasing adoption of technology-driven supply chain solutions. Against this backdrop, developers are looking to create larger and more efficient logistics parks capable of serving multiple industries.
For NDR Group, the latest projects form part of a much larger development pipeline. The company currently has around 13 million sq ft of land and development opportunities that are expected to be gradually transferred to NDR InvIT Trust, its infrastructure investment trust focused on warehousing and industrial assets.
According to N. Amrutesh Reddy, Managing Director of NDR Warehousing Pvt Ltd, the group’s strategy is centred on creating high-quality logistics infrastructure that can cater to the evolving requirements of occupiers across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce and third-party logistics sectors.
NDR InvIT Trust has already established a significant footprint in the sector. The trust currently manages assets under management of 22.17 million sq ft across warehouses and industrial parks located in 17 cities. The portfolio spans key logistics and industrial hubs, providing connectivity to major consumption centres and manufacturing corridors.
The company’s latest investment push reflects the growing importance of logistics infrastructure in India’s economic growth story. As businesses continue to optimise supply chains and seek modern warehousing solutions, demand for large-scale industrial and logistics developments is expected to remain strong.
With a substantial development pipeline and a growing national presence, NDR Group is positioning itself to benefit from the next wave of expansion in India’s warehousing and industrial real estate market.
