L&T Partners with France’s FAYAT Road Equipment to Market BOMAG’s Specialised Road Construction Equipment in India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is expanding its road construction machinery portfolio through a new partnership with FAYAT Road Equipment Division (FRED) India, bringing specialised BOMAG equipment to the Indian market.

The partnership will cover the marketing, sales, after-sales support and supply of spare parts for BOMAG’s road milling machines, soil stabilisers and cement spreaders.

The move comes as India continues to invest heavily in road and infrastructure development, creating demand for machinery that can improve construction efficiency and project execution. For L&T, the partnership also broadens its existing range of road machinery and allows the company to address a wider set of applications across road construction and maintenance.

BOMAG equipment to strengthen L&T’s road machinery portfolio

BOMAG, headquartered in Germany, is part of FAYAT’s Road Equipment Division and is known for equipment and technologies used in road construction and infrastructure projects.

The specialised machinery covered by the partnership will complement L&T’s existing portfolio. The companies expect the combined offering to give customers access to a broader range of equipment for road building, maintenance and related infrastructure work.

For L&T, one of the key advantages is its established service network across India. The company said its nationwide support infrastructure, backed by a central warehouse in Nagpur, will help provide technical assistance and spare parts throughout the equipment lifecycle.

The partnership also brings together BOMAG’s international equipment expertise with L&T’s established customer base and local market reach.

FAYAT sees India as a key growth market

FAYAT, France’s largest independent construction group, sees India as an important market as infrastructure investment continues across highways and other transport projects.

The partnership is expected to support the wider adoption of advanced road construction technologies in India, particularly as contractors and infrastructure companies look for equipment that can improve productivity and reduce project execution challenges.

For L&T, the addition of BOMAG machinery further strengthens its position in the construction equipment market and expands the solutions available to customers undertaking large road and infrastructure projects.
