KNR Constructions Limited has secured a significant infrastructure contract in Telangana after receiving a Letter of Acceptance from the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad, for the construction of a six-lane bi-directional flyover. The project, valued at ₹235.07 crore excluding GST, is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in one of Hyderabad’s rapidly developing urban corridors.
The contract was awarded on June 9, 2026, and will be executed under the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) model on a turnkey basis. According to the project details, the proposed flyover will pass through key traffic junctions including TKR College Junction, Gayatri Nagar Junction and Mandamallamma Junction.
The infrastructure project is aimed at enhancing road connectivity and easing traffic bottlenecks in the region, which has witnessed significant residential, commercial and institutional development in recent years. Hyderabad continues to emerge as one of India’s fastest-growing metropolitan cities, creating a growing need for modern transportation infrastructure capable of supporting increasing traffic volumes.
The six-lane elevated corridor is expected to provide uninterrupted movement of vehicles across major intersections, improving travel time and road safety for daily commuters. Urban infrastructure experts believe such projects play a crucial role in supporting economic growth while improving overall mobility within expanding city limits.
KNR Constructions has built a strong reputation in the infrastructure sector through the execution of highways, bridges, flyovers, irrigation projects and urban development works across multiple states. The latest order further strengthens the company’s order book and reinforces its position as a key player in India’s transportation infrastructure segment.
The project has been assigned a completion timeline of 24 months. Once completed, the flyover is expected to become an important component of Hyderabad’s urban road network, helping decongest key intersections and supporting smoother movement of passenger and commercial vehicles.
The award also reflects continued investment in Telangana’s infrastructure sector as authorities focus on improving connectivity, reducing travel delays and supporting sustainable urban development across Hyderabad and surrounding growth corridors.
