Chennai-based G Square Group is betting big on Tamil Nadu’s real estate growth story, with the company setting an ambitious target of ₹7,000 crore in property sales during the current financial year. The target includes ₹5,000 crore from residential plots and ₹2,000 crore from industrial land developments, signalling a renewed focus on a segment the company had largely stayed away from for nearly five years.
The move comes at a time when industrial activity across Tamil Nadu is gathering momentum, supported by fresh manufacturing investments, logistics expansion and growing demand for industrial infrastructure. G Square believes the evolving business environment has created an opportunity to once again participate in the industrial real estate market.
The company recently marked its return to the segment with the launch of an industrial plot development project in Gummidipoondi, a strategically located industrial belt near the Andhra Pradesh border. Another industrial project is now being planned in Coimbatore, a city that continues to attract investments across manufacturing, engineering and industrial sectors.
Founder and Managing Director Bala Ramajayam said industrial plot sales had remained subdued in recent years due to multiple market challenges. However, changing industry dynamics and policy support have encouraged the company to revive its industrial expansion plans.
The renewed push comes on the back of a strong financial year. During FY26, G Square reported property sales worth ₹4,000 crore across residential plots, villas and apartment developments. Over the years, the company has built a sizeable land portfolio exceeding 5,000 acres across Chennai, Coimbatore and several other high-growth locations in Tamil Nadu.
The developer has also launched G Square Kshetra at Karanodai along the Chennai-Kolkata Highway, positioning the project as an affordable plotted development opportunity in a rapidly developing corridor. To attract buyers, the company has introduced a special launch price for early customers and unveiled a unique offer promising a plot for ₹1 if buyers identify a lower-priced alternative within a specified radius.
Looking ahead, G Square remains optimistic about sustained demand in both residential and industrial real estate. While the company has deferred its proposed initial public offering to 2029, its focus remains firmly on expansion, land aggregation and strengthening its presence across Tamil Nadu’s evolving property market.
