In a significant boost to Visakhapatnam’s growing tourism and hospitality sector, a new five-star hotel under the  brand has been launched with a groundbreaking ceremony near Sagar Nagar and Yendada. The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh’s Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh along with key dignitaries, marking another milestone in the city’s development journey.

The project is being developed by the PVR Group with an estimated investment of approximately ₹250 crore. Spread across a three acre site, the hotel is expected to be completed within the next two years. This development reflects the state government’s continued push to translate investment commitments into on ground infrastructure, especially following the recent Partnership Summit.

Visakhapatnam has been steadily emerging as a major tourism and business hub on the eastern coast. With its strategic location, improving connectivity, and increasing investor interest, the city is attracting large scale hospitality and infrastructure projects. The upcoming Hyatt hotel is expected to further strengthen this momentum by offering world class accommodation and services.

The proposed hotel will feature premium rooms, fine dining options, and modern conference facilities designed to meet international standards. Dedicated spaces for corporate meetings, seminars, and large scale events will make it an attractive destination for business travelers as well as leisure visitors. This aligns with the growing demand for high quality hospitality infrastructure in the region.

Beyond tourism, the project is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities for local youth. Both direct and indirect jobs will be created across hospitality, operations, and service sectors, contributing to the local economy.

As Visakhapatnam continues to evolve into a key urban and economic center, developments like this highlight the city’s rising prominence in India’s real estate and hospitality landscape.
