Hitachi Construction Machinery to Rebrand as LANDCROS from April 2027

Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd. (HCM) has officially announced that it will undergo a major global transformation, rebranding itself as LANDCROS, effective April 2027. This strategic move signifies a new chapter for the Japanese heavy machinery giant, reflecting its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and intelligent technology in the construction and mining sectors.

The company said the rebranding represents its evolution from being a traditional machinery manufacturer to a comprehensive solutions provider. LANDCROS embodies HCM’s determination to develop advanced, AI-integrated, and connected equipment that can address modern challenges such as labour shortages, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Francesco Quaranta, President and CEO of HCM Europe, stated that LANDCROS stands for “going beyond machinery” — symbolizing a shift toward smarter, digital-driven solutions. He emphasized that the brand is built on a partnership philosophy, working closely with customers, technology partners, and dealers to co-create value and reimagine the customer experience from “ground to cloud.”

The transformation aligns with the global demand for faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction processes. HCM’s prototype, LANDCROS ONE, unveiled at Bauma 2025, reflects this vision — an autonomous, remotely operated, and AI-powered machine designed to merge reliability with intuitive user interaction. The prototype has received highly positive feedback from industry experts, confirming the brand’s strong direction toward the future.

Masafumi Senzaki, President and Executive Officer, COO of HCM, said the goal is to make LANDCROS a brand that inspires trust and pride among customers, investors, and employees alike. “We want our customers to feel they made the right choice, our shareholders to have confidence, and our employees to see meaning in their work,” he added.

With this rebranding, HCM is not only changing its name but also redefining its mission — to design seamless, technology-driven experiences that shape the future of global construction. LANDCROS marks a bold leap toward the next generation of intelligent, sustainable, and human-centered machinery.
