India’s largest cement manufacturer, UltraTech Cement, has reported a strong start to the financial year, posting healthy growth in both revenue and profitability during the first quarter of FY27. The company’s latest financial performance reflects sustained demand across key markets, improved operational efficiency and continued momentum in the country’s infrastructure and housing sectors.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, UltraTech Cement reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,604 crore, registering a 17.2% increase compared to ₹2,221 crore in the corresponding period last year. Consolidated net sales also recorded robust growth, rising 16.3% year-on-year to ₹24,465 crore from ₹21,040 crore.

The company also delivered stronger operating performance during the quarter. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to ₹5,146 crore from ₹4,591 crore in the year-ago period. The improvement was supported by better capacity utilisation, higher dispatches and disciplined cost management despite ongoing fluctuations in input costs.

The latest results reinforce UltraTech Cement’s leadership in India’s cement industry at a time when construction activity continues to remain resilient. Demand from infrastructure projects, urban development, commercial construction and residential housing has contributed to higher cement consumption across several regions.

Industry observers believe the company’s diversified manufacturing footprint and extensive distribution network have enabled it to effectively capture demand across multiple markets. Operational efficiencies and economies of scale have also played an important role in supporting earnings growth.

Looking ahead, market participants remain optimistic about cement demand during the remainder of the financial year, driven by increased government infrastructure spending, private sector investments and continued momentum in the real estate sector. Stable pricing and higher utilisation levels are also expected to support the industry’s growth outlook.

With another quarter of double-digit growth in both revenue and profit, UltraTech Cement continues to strengthen its position as the country’s leading cement producer while maintaining a strong operational and financial foundation for future expansion.
