Brigade Group, in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, has announced a major expansion in India’s premium hospitality sector with the signing of management agreements for two landmark projects in Chennai and Bengaluru. The developments include Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR and Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli, further reinforcing the growing demand for luxury and extended-stay hospitality assets in key South Indian markets.
The marquee development, Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR, is set to come up along the city’s scenic East Coast Road and is expected to open in 2029. Planned as a premium beachfront property, the hotel will feature around 200 guest rooms and is designed to cater to business travellers, wedding guests, leisure visitors and the growing MICE segment. The project will include multiple dining venues, a signature restaurant, specialty restaurants, a pool bar, wellness facilities and sophisticated event spaces, positioning it as a major hospitality landmark for Chennai.
This project is significant for the city’s tourism and events ecosystem, especially as East Coast Road continues to attract high-end residential, hospitality and lifestyle investments. The hotel is expected to strengthen Chennai’s premium staycation and destination wedding market while also serving business travellers visiting the city.
In Bengaluru, Brigade and Hyatt will develop Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli, which is scheduled to open in 2027. The project will feature 135 serviced apartments designed for both short-term and extended stays. Located close to Kempegowda International Airport and the fast-developing Devanahalli tech corridor, the property is strategically positioned to cater to professionals, corporate travellers and long-stay guests.
With the growth of technology parks, aerospace developments and the planned Financial City in the Devanahalli region, the hospitality project is expected to benefit from rising business travel demand.
This collaboration marks Brigade Group’s first hotel partnership with Hyatt and reflects strong confidence in South India’s hospitality and real estate growth story, particularly in Chennai and Bengaluru.
