In a further big boost to Bengaluru’s technology park infrastructure, the Karnataka government has sanctioned Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) to develop a ₹3,273 crore IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) park in Whitefield.

The new Tata Intelion Park will be built on 25.5 acres in the Doddanekkundi Industrial Area. The project will generate employment for approximately 5,500 individuals, further cementing Bengaluru’s status as an IT hub leader.

TRIL purchased the land from Graphite India Limited in August 2023 at a price of ₹986 crore. The complex will have IT operation infrastructure, retail, and supporting services with increasing demand for business ecosystems within the city.

The project has been cleared subject to several conditions by a government order dated April 17, as per the government. These conditions include compulsory employment and training of local people, giving preference to local vendors during construction and operations, and assistance to local social infrastructure.

The action is part of Karnataka’s overall effort to draw high-value investments and encourage inclusive development by linking job generation and community improvement with industrialization.

Tata’s entry into Whitefield an area already saturated with corporate campuses and tech parks—contributes to the city’s accelerating urban and commercial growth. The Intelion Park branding reflects Tata Realty’s vision of creating sustainable, future-ready workspaces across India.

The government’s approval is seen as a green signal to other large players eyeing Karnataka’s capital for long-term investments in technology and innovation.

The Tata Intelion Park is expected to begin construction later this year.
