GKC Projects has secured a ₹1,081.54 crore contract for the construction of Package 3 of Radial Road 2 in Telangana, adding another major road infrastructure project to its portfolio in the state. The package covers a 24.65-kilometre stretch between Gudur and Nacharam.

The contract forms part of the wider Radial Road 2 corridor, which is planned to connect the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Kothwalguda Budwel with National Highway 167N near Nacharam. The proposed connection is intended to improve movement between developing urban areas and strengthen links with the surrounding highway network.

Gudur-Nacharam Stretch Forms Key Section

At 24.65 kilometres, Package 3 represents a substantial section of the planned corridor. Its development is expected to improve access for commuters travelling between the areas along the route, while providing additional connectivity for commercial vehicles serving the region.

As urban development spreads beyond established city centres, road links connecting growth areas with major highways are becoming increasingly important. Radial roads can help distribute traffic across the wider road network and provide alternative routes for journeys that would otherwise depend on existing arterial roads.

For Telangana, the Radial Road 2 corridor is intended to strengthen connectivity between the Outer Ring Road and the highway network near Nacharam. The extent of the traffic benefits will depend on the completion of the relevant sections and their integration with existing roads.

Contract Adds to GKC Projects Infrastructure Portfolio

The ₹1,081.54 crore award expands GKC Projects presence in Telangana’s infrastructure sector. The Gudur-Nacharam package will require construction across a 24.65-kilometre stretch, making it a significant road development assignment for the company.

The project is also relevant to the region’s growing transport requirements. Better connections between developing urban locations and major highways can support the movement of goods, improve access for commuters and help commercial activity reach a wider area.

However, the available project details do not specify the construction commencement date, completion deadline, detailed engineering scope or implementation schedule for Package 3. These details will be important in assessing the project’s delivery timeline and when the planned connectivity improvements could become available to road users.

As work on Radial Road 2 progresses, the Gudur-Nacharam package will form part of the broader effort to improve regional road links in Telangana. Its eventual impact will depend on timely execution and the completion of the connecting sections needed to establish the planned corridor.
