Havells India reported strong standalone financial performance in the second quarter of the 2026–27 financial year, with revenue from operations rising to ₹6,400 crore as demand supported growth across its consumer electricals and appliances business.

Revenue increased 34.3% year-on-year from ₹4,767 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, exceeding market expectations of ₹5,937 crore. The performance highlights the company’s ability to sustain sales growth in a competitive market for electrical products and consumer durables.

Standalone net profit rose 11.4% to ₹353 crore, compared with ₹317 crore in the year-ago period. The figure was broadly in line with analyst expectations of around ₹352 crore, indicating continued growth in earnings alongside the expansion in revenue.

Operating performance also improved during the quarter. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 30.3% year-on-year to ₹576 crore from ₹442 crore. The result exceeded market estimates of ₹536 crore, reflecting stronger operating earnings as sales expanded.

However, the improvement in absolute earnings came alongside a modest decline in profitability margins. Havells reported an EBITDA margin of 8.98%, compared with 9.27% in the corresponding quarter last year. The 29-basis-point contraction suggests that higher revenue and operating earnings did not translate into an equivalent improvement in margins.

Input costs and changes in product mix remain important factors for electrical goods manufacturers, particularly as competition influences pricing decisions. For Havells, maintaining profitability while sustaining sales growth will remain a key consideration in the coming quarters.

The company’s results also offer a snapshot of activity in India’s consumer electricals market, where demand for electrical equipment and household appliances plays an important role in revenue growth. At the same time, fluctuations in raw material prices can influence production costs and operating margins.

Havells’ latest quarterly performance combines strong revenue growth with higher operating earnings and a moderate increase in net profit. While revenue and EBITDA exceeded market estimates, the slight margin decline highlights the need to monitor cost pressures alongside sales momentum.

Investors and industry observers will be watching subsequent results for signs of sustained demand, margin stability and the company’s ability to convert revenue growth into stronger bottom-line performance.
