The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved 11 industrial projects with a combined investment of ₹9,076.11 crore. The projects are expected to generate around 10,531 jobs across Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing the state’s position as one of India’s fastest-growing industrial investment destinations.
The approvals were granted during the 19th SIPB meeting, where the Chief Minister directed officials to align industrial growth with rural prosperity by creating new opportunities for farmers and encouraging entrepreneurship. He also called for attracting investments in ethanol production, renewable fuels and food processing while promoting a circular economy model.
Naidu instructed officials to formulate a comprehensive policy covering ethanol, methane and sustainable aviation fuel. He also stressed the need to position Andhra Pradesh as a major manufacturing hub for solar cells and modules, while expediting the development of the remaining MSME parks with better logistics and railway connectivity.
Tourism infrastructure also received attention during the meeting. The Chief Minister said the state should develop experience centres at key destinations and noted that recently approved hospitality projects would increase Andhra Pradesh’s hotel room inventory from 4,390 rooms to 13,753 rooms.
Officials informed the meeting that since the present government assumed office, SIPB has approved 339 projects with a proposed investment of ₹11.86 lakh crore, creating employment potential for more than 10.41 lakh people.
