JSW Cement has commissioned a new 1 MTPA cement grinding unit at its integrated facility in Nagaur, Rajasthan, marking another step in the company’s expansion across northern India.

The new unit takes the total grinding capacity at the Nagaur facility to 3.5 MTPA, while JSW Cement’s overall domestic cement grinding capacity has increased to 25.1 MTPA from 24.1 MTPA.

The expansion strengthens the company’s ability to supply cement to key markets across Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and the National Capital Region. JSW Cement had entered the northern market with its Nagaur operations in March 2026, and the latest capacity addition is expected to support a wider regional supply network.

The company’s Nagaur facility combines clinkerisation and grinding operations. With the latest commissioning, its grinding capacity has been expanded from the earlier 2.5 MTPA level to 3.5 MTPA. The move is also aimed at improving supply efficiency by bringing production closer to major demand centres in northern India.

JSW Cement reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,896 crore in the First Quarter of Financial Year 2026–27, up 22% from ₹1,554 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Its sales volume during the quarter stood at 3.81 million tonnes, registering 15% year-on-year growth.

The Nagaur expansion comes as cement manufacturers continue to add capacity to meet demand from infrastructure development, housing and other construction activity. Northern India remains an important growth market, with major producers competing to strengthen their regional manufacturing and distribution networks.

JSW Cement is targeting a total grinding capacity of 35.3 MTPA by 2028. The company is also pursuing corporate restructuring, including the proposed amalgamation of listed subsidiary Shiva Cement with JSW Cement, subject to the required approvals.

The commissioning of the Nagaur unit gives JSW Cement additional capacity in a strategically important market and increases its ability to serve customers across northern India.
