Andhra Pradesh Allots 21.10 Acres for ₹400 Crore Tirupati One Integrated Cultural Destination

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards strengthening Tirupati’s tourism and business infrastructure by allotting 21.10 acres of government land for the proposed Tirupati One Integrated Cultural Destination project. The land, located at Damineedu village in Tirupati Rural mandal, has been transferred to the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) for project implementation.

The proposed development will be built with an estimated investment of around ₹400 crore and is expected to emerge as a major hub for cultural tourism, conventions and business events in the region. Strategically located along the Vijayawada–Bengaluru National Highway near the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanur, the project is designed to improve Tirupati’s appeal as both a pilgrimage and business destination.

The Tirupati One project is being developed under the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2024–29 by a consortium comprising DivyaSree Holdings and Cybercity Builders & Developers. It will feature a modern convention centre, exhibition facilities, premium hotels, cultural attractions and supporting tourism infrastructure.

Government officials stated that the land transfer received approvals from the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and the Finance Department before being formally allotted to APTDC. Authorities have also directed the project developers to safeguard existing water bodies, drainage channels and public roads throughout the construction phase, ensuring that environmental and public infrastructure are protected.

The project is expected to create new opportunities for tourism, hospitality, events and allied industries while attracting both domestic and international visitors. Industry observers believe the integrated destination will strengthen Tirupati’s position beyond its religious tourism identity by creating a modern venue capable of hosting conferences, exhibitions, corporate events and large cultural gatherings.

With infrastructure-led development continuing to remain a priority for Andhra Pradesh, the Tirupati One project represents another major investment aimed at enhancing the state’s tourism ecosystem and generating long-term economic activity through hospitality, real estate and business travel.
