Accor has strengthened its expansion strategy in India’s hospitality sector with the signing of Novotel Chirala Beach, a new 225-key beachfront resort planned for Chirala in Andhra Pradesh. Scheduled to open in 2031, the development marks another milestone in the global hospitality group’s growing presence across India’s emerging leisure destinations.

The upcoming resort will be developed in partnership with Sri Bhramara Resorts, a division of Guntur-based Sri Bhramara Townships Pvt. Ltd. The project is expected to introduce modern beachfront hospitality to Chirala, a coastal town that has steadily gained attention for its scenic beaches and tourism potential.

Located along the Bay of Bengal, Chirala offers convenient access to major cities including Guntur, Amaravati, Vijayawada, Ongole and Hyderabad. Improved connectivity and rising domestic tourism have positioned the destination as an attractive alternative to more commercialised beach locations in South India.

Novotel Chirala Beach will feature 225 guest rooms designed to serve leisure travellers, families, corporate visitors and international tourists. The property will include an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge bar, swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and nearly 1,000 square metres of banquet and meeting facilities. These amenities are expected to support destination weddings, conferences, corporate retreats and social events throughout the year.

Accor said the project aligns with the Novotel brand’s “Longevity Everyday” philosophy, focusing on comfortable stays, wellness, family-friendly experiences and modern hospitality. The company continues to expand its footprint in India’s high-growth travel markets as demand for premium hotels rises across both metropolitan cities and emerging tourist destinations.

For Sri Bhramara Townships, the partnership represents an important diversification into hospitality alongside its established residential and commercial real estate business in Andhra Pradesh. The developer believes the project will contribute to regional economic growth by creating employment opportunities while strengthening Chirala’s tourism infrastructure.

With its beachfront location, extensive resort facilities and proximity to key urban centres, Novotel Chirala Beach is expected to become one of Andhra Pradesh’s notable hospitality developments after its opening in 2031. The project also reflects increasing investor confidence in India’s coastal tourism market as hotel operators continue expanding into destinations with long-term growth potential.
