RMZ Appoints Tata Projects for ₹670 Crore RMZ Infinity Project in Chennai

RMZ has appointed Tata Projects to execute the main civil works for RMZ Infinity, a large commercial development planned in Porur, Chennai. The construction contract is valued at approximately ₹670.24 crore, marking a significant addition to the city’s expanding office and commercial real estate pipeline.

Located on Mount Poonamallee Road, RMZ Infinity will come up across 16.4 acres and comprise four commercial towers. The development is planned with around 3.54 million sq ft of total built-up area and approximately 2.94 million sq ft of leasable space.

The project is being positioned primarily for global capability centres (GCCs), with office floor plates ranging from about 22,000 sq ft to 1.32 lakh sq ft. Each commercial tower will include three basement levels, a ground floor and nine office floors. A separate utility building is also part of the development.

Tata Projects will undertake the core and shell construction, covering civil and structural works along with architectural works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, basement flooring, common-area finishes and external finishes.

The development comes as Chennai continues to attract large occupiers looking for modern office space, particularly from the GCC and technology sectors. The city’s established talent base, industrial ecosystem and expanding transport infrastructure have strengthened demand for large-scale commercial developments.

RMZ Infinity is being designed with sustainability and occupant wellbeing in mind. The project has received USGBC LEED Gold pre-certification and is targeting WELL Gold certification. Plans also include a social plaza with food and beverage outlets, retail facilities and amenities focused on employee wellness.

The upcoming Chennai Metro network is expected to further improve connectivity around the project before completion, adding to the location’s appeal for businesses and employees.

RMZ’s latest development adds to its growing commercial real estate presence in Chennai as the city continues to build its inventory of Grade A office assets. With four towers and a substantial development footprint, RMZ Infinity is expected to become a notable commercial project in the Porur-Mount Poonamallee Road corridor.
