The proposed projects will be located in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, cities that continue to witness rising demand from business travellers, domestic tourists and international visitors. Industry experts believe these markets offer strong long-term growth potential, supported by expanding commercial activity, infrastructure development and improving air connectivity.

The expansion follows the successful commissioning of Brigade Hotel Ventures’ 130-key hotel in Mysuru, Karnataka. With this addition, the company’s operational portfolio increased from 1,474 keys as of March 2025 to 1,604 keys by March 2026, further strengthening its position in India’s organised hospitality sector.

According to the company, several projects are currently under various stages of planning and development, with phased commissioning expected over the next few financial years. The strategy reflects Brigade Hotel Ventures’ focus on developing hospitality assets in high-demand urban centres where business travel, meetings, conferences and leisure tourism continue to drive hotel occupancy.

South India has emerged as one of the country’s most attractive hotel investment destinations, led by robust growth in information technology, global capability centres, manufacturing, healthcare and tourism. Cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad continue to attract significant corporate investments, while Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram are witnessing growing demand from leisure, medical and convention tourism.

The planned expansion is expected to enhance the company’s hospitality portfolio while supporting the increasing requirement for quality accommodation across the region. As infrastructure investments continue to improve connectivity and economic activity across South India, the hospitality sector is expected to benefit from sustained growth in travel demand, creating new opportunities for premium hotel developments over the coming years.
