Vedaanta launches ₹50 crore senior living project in Kerala, expands footprint in Kottayam

Vedaanta Senior Living has announced the launch of Eden Gardens, a thoughtfully designed senior living community in Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Kerala. Spread across 4 acres, the project includes 48 villas and around 30 apartments, with prices starting from approximately ₹76 lakh. With an estimated investment of ₹50 crore, the development marks a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy in South India.

The project is part of Vedaanta’s broader ₹200 crore investment plan in Kerala over the next three years. The company already operates senior living communities in Guruvayur and Kochi, with another upcoming in Thrissur. With the addition of Kottayam, Vedaanta is strengthening its presence across four key cities in the state, targeting the growing demand for organised senior living solutions.

Kerala continues to emerge as one of India’s most mature markets for senior living, driven by its demographic profile and higher life expectancy. With more than 16 percent of its population aged above 60, the state is witnessing increased demand for communities that offer both independence and support for elderly residents. The presence of a strong NRI base further supports this demand, as families seek reliable and well-managed living options for senior members.

Eden Gardens has been planned as a low-density development, with homes designed as per Vastu principles and surrounded by landscaped gardens and open green spaces. The community offers easy access to hospitals, markets, rail connectivity and essential services, making it a convenient choice for residents.

The project focuses on wellness-led living, offering facilities such as curated dining options, on-site nursing care, paramedical support and daily housekeeping.
