Capgemini has commenced construction of a large-scale office campus in Siruseri, Chennai, marking another major investment in the city’s rapidly expanding IT corridor. The project, estimated at around ₹1,000 crore, will span approximately 1 million square feet and is being developed as a high-quality commercial workspace along the Old Mahabalipuram Road, one of India’s most prominent technology hubs.

This new development highlights Chennai’s continued emergence as a preferred destination for global technology companies looking to expand their footprint in India. Siruseri, in particular, has evolved into a key micro-market, attracting both established IT firms and new entrants due to its infrastructure connectivity, talent availability, and proximity to other major business districts.

The Capgemini campus is designed as a multi-storey office facility, expected to rise up to 14 floors, with modern workplace features and scalable infrastructure. Once completed, the campus will be able to accommodate around 5,500 employees, supporting the company’s future growth plans in India.

The project also reflects the broader trend of increased office space demand in Chennai, not only from IT companies but also from sectors such as fintech, consulting, and engineering services. Developers and occupiers alike are focusing on Grade A office assets that offer flexibility, sustainability, and employee-centric design.

In recent years, the OMR corridor has witnessed a steady pipeline of commercial developments, reinforcing its position as the backbone of Chennai’s IT and office real estate market. With multiple infrastructure upgrades and ongoing investments, the region continues to attract large-scale projects that contribute to employment generation and economic growth.

Capgemini’s latest investment further strengthens Chennai’s position in India’s commercial real estate landscape and signals continued confidence in the city’s long-term growth potential as a technology and business hub.
