Kerala marks a major milestone in its digital infrastructure journey with the construction of the IT Twin Towers by Lulu Group worth ₹1,500 crore within SmartCity, Kochi. The event will be graced by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, other ministers and key industry stakeholders on June 28.
At a height of 152m, these twin towers are the tallest IT office structures in South India. It is 12.74 acres in extent and altogether 30 floors with a built-up area of 3.5 million sq. ft., out of which 2.5 million sq. ft. have been earmarked for leasing. Hence, this proposed project is expected to accommodate over 30,000 IT and IT professionals as a feeder for technology and AI-driven companies.
On-site is the largest automated robotic parking station in the world, capable of accommodating 4,500 vehicles (3,200 robotic and 1,300 conventional) across three levels. An on-site helipad completes aerial connectivity.
This campus has a three-floor amenity block with a 2,500-seat food court with a crèche, gym, bank, business lounges, and a 600-seat conference hall. Landscaped green podiums include walking trails and open-air seating arrangements for employee wellness and collaboration.
“This is beyond infrastructure. Our aim is to create over 50,000 tech jobs in the next three years through Lulu IT Parks,” said Abhilash Valiyavalappil, CEO of Lulu IT Parks. He considered Kochi to have the strategic advantage of having a skilled workforce, lower living costs, efficient public transportation, and world-class amenities to position it as a rising global tech destination.
Abdul Rehman, Director & COO, mentioned how the whole operations were future-ready to create an ecosystem that would be made possible for worldwide tech and AI companies.
Currently, Lulu operates Cyber Towers 1 & 2 at Kochi Infopark, where around 13,800 professionals are working. In a first for Kerala’s digital economic ambitions, four companies have so far commenced operations at the Twin Towers.
