A new green energy innovation is drawing attention in India as HONC Gas Pvt. Ltd. advances its patented Hydrogen-Oxygen Nitrogen-Carbon (HONC) Gas technology. Generated directly from purified water through a proprietary electrolysis and blending process, HONC Gas is being positioned as a faster and more affordable alternative to traditional Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The company claims that cooking with LPG typically takes around 5.36 minutes at a cost of ₹0.63, whereas HONC Gas achieves the same in just 1.32 minutes at ₹0.14. While these figures are based on company demonstrations and await independent verification, they highlight the potential of HONC Gas as a disruptive fuel option for households and industries.

Actor-politician R. Sarath Kumar, one of the executive directors of HONC Gas Pvt. Ltd., has confirmed that the patenting process has been completed and the technology has already been submitted to both State and Central government authorities for approval. Once regulatory clearances are secured, HONC Gas generators are expected to be launched in the Indian market.

Unlike conventional fuels, HONC Gas is generated on-demand from water, eliminating the need for large storage cylinders and reducing the risk of leakage or explosions. This makes it not only cost-effective but also safer and more environmentally sustainable. The company envisions wide applications, from household kitchens to industrial boilers, hospitals, hotels, and manufacturing units.

India’s dependence on imported LPG has long been a challenge, driving up costs and creating supply chain vulnerabilities. If successfully approved and commercialized, HONC Gas could provide a significant breakthrough by lowering energy costs for millions of households and reducing the country’s reliance on fossil fuels.

For now, all eyes remain on the government’s regulatory approval process. Should HONC Gas secure the green signal, it could redefine the future of clean energy cooking solutions in India.
