Royal Orchid Hotels is stepping up its expansion across India, adding new properties in key business, pilgrimage and leisure markets as the hospitality sector continues to benefit from sustained travel demand.

The hotel group opened five new properties during the first quarter of financial year 2026–27, adding 237 rooms across Hyderabad, Tirupati, Ahmedabad and Rishikesh. With these additions, the company now has more than 123 hotels and over 11,350 keys, including properties that have already been signed.

The expansion is part of Royal Orchid’s asset-light growth strategy, which focuses on entering markets with strong demand while keeping capital deployment disciplined. The company has a pipeline of more than 50 upcoming properties representing over 3,600 keys.

The pipeline spans a mix of business corridors, pilgrimage centres, leisure destinations and major metropolitan gateways. This approach allows the group to broaden its geographic presence while responding to changing travel patterns across the country.

Royal Orchid Hotels is also pursuing a larger long-term expansion target. Under its Vision 2030 plan, the company aims to reach 345 hotels and 22,000 keys. The target reflects its expectation that domestic tourism, business travel and demand from emerging destinations will continue supporting hotel occupancy and room additions.

The company’s recent openings in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Ahmedabad and Rishikesh also highlight the diversity of markets being targeted. Hyderabad offers strong business and corporate travel demand, while Tirupati remains an important pilgrimage destination. Ahmedabad has a significant business and industrial base, while Rishikesh continues to attract leisure and spiritual travellers.

Chairman and Managing Director Chander K. Baljee said the company remains well positioned to participate in India’s growing travel and hospitality opportunity, supported by its pipeline and new brand categories under development.

For Royal Orchid, the next phase of growth will therefore depend not only on adding rooms, but also on selecting locations where business, tourism and pilgrimage demand can provide sustainable opportunities for new hotels.
