India Steel 2025: Government and Industry Leaders Discuss Key Preparations

The ‘India Steel 2025′ preparations picked up pace with the Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Sri Sandeep Poundrik, leading a critical stakeholders’ meeting to review the international event scheduled to take place on April 24-26, 2025. Policymakers, industry leaders, and international delegates are to converge in this event and set the course for India’s steel sector future.

It invited the participation of senior government officials, ambassadors of the nations that are significant steel-trading nations, top representatives from key Indian states, and the top executives of both public sector and private sector steel companies. Collaboration was streamlined for a seamless, effective event that established India’s growing stature in the global steel industry.

‘India Steel 2025’ would be a big exhibition-cum-conference for displaying cutting-edge innovations and for developing international collaborations. Key components of the event would be:

During the meeting, Sri Sandeep Poundrik highlighted India’s great progress in steel production and consumption. India’s steel demand is growing at an impressive 9% to 10%, the fastest in major global economies.

The industry is in its transformational phase, with growth in green steel production and related sustainability initiatives. Robust global partnerships would present new opportunities in sourcing raw materials, technological innovation, and overall industrial expansion,” he said.
