ColdStar Logistics has expanded its South India operations with the launch of its largest standalone facility in Bengaluru, strengthening its cold chain and ambient logistics network at a time when demand for temperature-controlled supply chains is rising across major consumption markets.
The new facility, located at Hoskote, spans 1.75 lakh sq ft and has been designed to serve customers across FMCG, confectionery, dairy and processed food segments. With a daily processing capacity of 3 lakh units, the warehouse is expected to support faster storage, processing and distribution for e-commerce platforms, food processors, institutional buyers and organised retail players.
The Bengaluru facility is equipped with multiple temperature zones, including ambient, tropical, chiller and frozen storage. This allows ColdStar Logistics to handle a wider range of products that require controlled conditions across the supply chain. The company said the new facility will help it meet rising urban demand and improve service reliability in the region.
The Hoskote centre marks ColdStar’s fourth warehousing hub in Bengaluru, further strengthening its distribution network in the city. Bengaluru has emerged as a key logistics and consumption hub due to its strong retail, e-commerce, food processing and institutional demand base. The addition of a large standalone facility is expected to improve supply chain responsiveness for customers operating across Karnataka and neighbouring southern markets.
ColdStar Logistics has also integrated technology-led systems at the facility, including predictive analytics, IoT-enabled sensors and smart warehousing tools. These systems are aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing handling time and maintaining product quality across storage and movement.
The expansion comes as India’s cold chain sector continues to grow, supported by higher demand for perishable foods, processed products and faster last-mile fulfilment. Companies are increasingly investing in modern warehousing infrastructure to build resilient and scalable supply chains.
ColdStar Logistics currently operates 26 distribution centres across India and handles around 1.9 million units daily across more than 200 cities. The Bengaluru expansion is expected to further support its national network and strengthen its position in the temperature-controlled logistics segment
