Brigade Enterprises Limited has collaborated with Technopark to bring a World Trade Center and business hotel to the city as part of an association with a major new development that aims to support the growth of the IT industry in the region. The project was announced on January 13, 2025, and would cover around 1.5 million square feet of infrastructure spread over several towers.

Grade A offices in the World Trade Center will provide an anchor that will attract various multinational IT firms. The same development will generate direct and indirect jobs of more than 10,000. And hence, great impetus would be given to the local economy. It estimates to invest the sum of an estimated ₹1,500 crores in the state in the forthcoming years.

The Memorandum of Understanding for the project was formally presented by Brigade Enterprises’ Executive Chairman, M. R. Jaishankar, to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a ceremony attended by senior state officials, including Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan and IT Secretary Ratan Kelkar.

This is Brigade’s second World Trade Center project in Kerala, after the success of their facility in Kochi, where the company is expanding with a third tower. The Kochi facility covers over one million square feet and is a hub for IT infrastructure and businesses.

Brigade is a group that was instituted in 1995; it has contributed to the Indian real estate map to a great extent as it developed projects in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mysuru. It also provides a rich portfolio of everything starting from residential to office, retail, hospitality, and education.

Even as the stock of the company has taken a recent hit and is now selling at ₹1,062.85 on NSE, down 7.44 percent, this is another ambitious step towards its further growth and economic contribution in the state of Kerala.
