Tiger Logistics (India) Limited has secured a new import break-bulk logistics contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), further strengthening its long-standing association with one of India’s leading public sector engineering companies.

The contract involves the transportation of 13 over-dimensional cargo (ODC) units from Italy to India. Each cargo unit weighs approximately 89 metric tonnes, highlighting the complexity and scale of the project. The total value of the contract is estimated at around ₹4 crore, including handling and logistics services.

The latest order adds to Tiger Logistics’ growing portfolio of industrial and infrastructure-related logistics assignments. The company has been actively supporting BHEL with specialized logistics solutions across multiple projects, including customs clearance, warehousing, transportation, break-bulk cargo handling, full container load (FCL) and less-than-container load (LCL) shipments, air freight operations, and heavy cargo movements.

During the previous financial year, Tiger Logistics successfully completed the delivery of 28 machine components for BHEL within stipulated timelines and project specifications. The company said the new assignment reflects the continued confidence that large public sector enterprises place in its ability to execute complex logistics operations.

According to Harpreet Singh Malhotra, Chairman and Managing Director of Tiger Logistics, large-scale industrial projects demand meticulous planning, specialized handling expertise, and seamless international coordination. He noted that the company’s continued engagement with BHEL demonstrates its capability to manage critical logistics requirements for major engineering and infrastructure projects.

The contract is expected to further enhance Tiger Logistics’ presence in the heavy-lift and project logistics segment, an area witnessing increasing demand from sectors such as power, manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering, and energy.

As India continues to invest heavily in industrial expansion and infrastructure development, the need for reliable logistics partners capable of handling oversized and heavy cargo is expected to grow. With its expanding expertise in break-bulk and over-dimensional cargo transportation, Tiger Logistics is positioning itself as a key player in supporting the country’s large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
