Kerala’s information technology infrastructure is set for a major boost as work progresses on the QUAD integrated township project at Technocity in Thiruvananthapuram. The project forms part of the fourth phase of Technopark, one of India’s earliest and largest IT parks, and is expected to strengthen Kerala’s position as a competitive technology and innovation destination.

The QUAD township is being developed with an estimated investment of ₹1,600 crore across nearly 30 acres. The project is planned as an integrated development that will combine information technology office space, commercial facilities and residential infrastructure within a single campus. This model is expected to support the growing demand for modern workspaces and urban living facilities among technology companies and professionals.

According to the project plan, the township will include two IT towers, a commercial complex and residential facilities. Once completed, it is expected to create a more connected business environment for companies operating in Technocity and the larger Technopark ecosystem. The project is also likely to support employment generation and attract new investments into Kerala’s IT sector.

Technocity has been designed as a major expansion zone for Kerala’s technology industry. Its location near Thiruvananthapuram gives it access to skilled talent, transport connectivity and institutional support. With the QUAD township moving forward, the region is expected to gain improved infrastructure that can support large technology firms, startups, service providers and allied businesses.

The project also reflects the rising importance of integrated townships in India’s IT and commercial real estate sector. Companies are increasingly looking for campuses that offer office space along with supporting amenities, housing and retail infrastructure. Such developments help improve employee convenience, reduce travel pressure and create better urban ecosystems around major employment hubs.

For Kerala, the progress of the QUAD integrated township is significant as the state looks to expand beyond traditional IT clusters and build future ready infrastructure. The development is expected to add momentum to Thiruvananthapuram’s growth as a technology hub while supporting the long term expansion of Technopark and Technocity.
