Hyderabad-based Jassper Shipping is planning to invest USD 50 million (₹478 crore approx) across India and the Gulf as it looks to expand its project logistics and specialised freight operations amid rising demand from industrial and infrastructure projects.

The investment will be infused by the company’s promoters in phases and will focus on expanding project logistics infrastructure, strengthening bulk and breakbulk cargo handling capabilities, improving technology-led logistics planning and scaling operations across key industrial and port-led logistics corridors.

The first phase will see USD 10 million deployed towards expanding Jassper Shipping’s business-to-business project logistics operations. The company is targeting sectors including power, steel, petrochemicals, heavy engineering, manufacturing and large infrastructure projects.

The wider investment programme will also support specialised transportation capabilities, port-to-plant logistics, vessel chartering and integrated multimodal freight solutions for oversized and critical cargo. These services are becoming increasingly important as large industrial and infrastructure projects involve complex movement of equipment, machinery and other project cargo.

Jassper Shipping’s expansion comes as India continues to invest heavily in industrial corridors, manufacturing capacity, renewable energy projects, ports and large-scale infrastructure. Such investments are creating demand for logistics providers that can manage specialised cargo movements beyond conventional freight operations.

The company said the investment will strengthen its execution capabilities and expand its presence across India and the Gulf. It also plans to scale cross-border project logistics, industrial cargo movement and specialised freight services for engineering, procurement and construction companies, manufacturers and infrastructure developers.

Pushpank Kaushik, CEO and Head of Business Development at Jassper Shipping, said the company was seeing strong demand for specialised project logistics capabilities. He said the planned investment reflects its long-term focus on project cargo, breakbulk logistics, vessel chartering and integrated industrial supply chains.

The company is also focusing on technology and operational capabilities alongside physical infrastructure. Technology-led logistics planning is expected to help improve cargo visibility, coordination and execution for complex industrial movements.

With the planned investment, Jassper Shipping aims to strengthen its logistics network across India and Gulf markets while positioning itself to benefit from the continued expansion of industrial and infrastructure activity in the region.
