Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has announced the receipt of fresh orders worth ₹187.37 crore from Kochi Metro Rail Limited and Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, further strengthening its presence in the urban transport infrastructure and railway logistics sectors.

According to the company, the largest order is a Letter of Award valued at ₹130.22 crore from Kochi Metro Rail Limited. The contract covers the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ballastless track and associated works for the elevated section between JLN Stadium and Infopark stations under Phase 2 of the Kochi Metro project.

The project is scheduled to be completed within 16 months and marks another significant milestone for Texmaco Rail in the metro rail infrastructure segment. The company said the order reflects its growing expertise in executing technically complex urban mobility projects across India.

In addition to the metro contract, Texmaco Rail has also secured a capital expenditure purchase order worth ₹57.15 crore from Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited. The scope of work includes the supply and commissioning of two BTAP rakes and two BVCM wagons designed for specialised railway logistics operations.

The Vedanta project will be executed in phases, with the first rake scheduled for delivery within six months and the second within eight months. The contract further reinforces Texmaco Rail’s engineering capabilities in manufacturing specialised wagons and supporting industrial logistics requirements.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director Sudipta Mukherjee said the Kochi Metro order strengthens the company’s focus on urban transport infrastructure, while the Vedanta contract highlights customer confidence in Texmaco Rail’s execution capabilities in the railway logistics segment.

The latest wins add to the company’s growing order book and underline increasing demand for rail-based infrastructure and logistics solutions in India’s expanding industrial and urban development landscape.
