WhiteBoard Advisory & Management and Chennai-based real estate developer Casagrand have announced the launch of a ₹500 crore residential real estate investment fund aimed at supporting housing developments across major South Indian cities.
The newly introduced platform, named Millenia WB Yield Fund, will primarily focus on financing residential projects in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The fund will also evaluate selective opportunities in other high-growth urban markets as demand for quality housing continues to remain strong across southern India.
According to the companies, the investment platform has been designed to provide yield-based returns for investors by combining WhiteBoard Advisory & Management’s financing expertise with Casagrand’s strong execution capabilities in the residential real estate segment.
The fund has already made its first investment by committing ₹41 crore towards a premium villa development located near Hyderabad’s airport corridor in South Hyderabad. The project is expected to generate an estimated topline revenue of around ₹400 crore over the next two-and-a-half years.
Industry experts believe the launch comes at a time when private capital and alternative investment platforms are increasing their exposure to India’s residential real estate market, particularly in cities witnessing infrastructure expansion, improving connectivity and sustained housing demand from IT and corporate professionals.
Anchit Lakhotiya stated that residential demand continues to remain resilient across key growth corridors and urban centres. He added that the fund aims to support projects with strong fundamentals, faster execution visibility and healthy sales potential.
Casagrand’s partnership is also expected to strengthen investor confidence due to the developer’s established presence in South India’s housing market. The company has been actively expanding its premium residential portfolio across Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Coimbatore.
WhiteBoard Advisory & Management currently provides financing solutions across equity, mezzanine, structured finance and senior credit instruments for domestic and offshore real estate investments. The company is also working towards building a larger alternative investment platform targeting assets under management between USD 250 million and USD 500 million.
