SANY India has taken a notable step toward improving gender inclusion in the construction equipment industry by supporting the first all women batch of excavator operators trained at the National Academy of Construction NAC in Andhra Pradesh. The initiative highlights the growing focus on skill development and equal opportunities within India’s infrastructure ecosystem.
A group of 22 women trainees successfully completed their certification programme in March 2026 marking a significant milestone for women entering heavy equipment operations. The training programme was conducted using the SANY SY120 excavator which was provided by SANY India to ensure hands on learning aligned with real construction site requirements.
The training curriculum was designed by SANY India to reflect global industry standards and operational safety practices. Trainers from the National Academy of Construction also received specialised guidance and technical orientation from SANY India to deliver practical instruction to the participants. After completing the course the trainees received certification under the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council IESC framework strengthening their employability across infrastructure and construction projects.

The certificate distribution ceremony was held on March 6 2026 at NAC Andhra Pradesh in Pulivendula located in Kadapa district. The event celebrated the successful completion of the first batch of women excavator operators trained under the programme. Madhusudan Katragadda Dealer Principal of Madhura Engineering Pvt Ltd attended as chief guest and presented certificates to the trainees.
Speaking at the event he appreciated the collaboration between SANY India and the National Academy of Construction stating that such initiatives create new career pathways for women in the construction equipment industry. He encouraged the participants to continue developing their skills and explore wider opportunities in equipment operations sales and service engineering roles.
Sanjay Saxena Chief Operating Officer of SANY India said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to inclusive growth and nation building. By equipping women with technical skills and recognised certification the programme aims to support long term careers while also contributing to a more diverse and skilled construction workforce in India.
Industry observers note that such training programmes can help bridge skill gaps while encouraging female participation in infrastructure development nationwide.
