Godrej Properties to Launch ₹1,500 Cr Premium Housing Project in Bengaluru’s Hoskote

Godrej Properties Ltd acquired a 14-acre land parcel at Hoskote, East Bengaluru, for a premium residential project with an expected revenue of ₹1,500 crore.

In a Monday filing with the regulator, Mumbai realty major said the proposed development will provide around 1.5 million sq. ft. of saleable area. While the company remained tight-lipped about the land acquisition cost, it stated the move is part of its strategy to increase its footprint in Bengaluru’s high-growth micro-markets.

Famous for its strong infrastructure and increasing connectivity, Hoskote has become a popular location for real estate investment in Bengaluru’s eastern belt. The recent buyover by Godrej is most likely to ride on this trend of growing customer demand, catering to customers interested in premium living spaces with modern-day amenities.

It is Godrej Properties’ second large land acquisition in June. The firm acquired a 14-acre land in Pune for around ₹800 crore at the beginning of this month with the aim of developing a housing project, which could generate revenue of ₹4,200 crore from 3.7 million sq. ft. of saleable area.

The back-to-back deals underpin Godrej Properties’ plans for aggressive expansion in top city markets, namely Pune and Bengaluru, which are also at the front of the nation’s residential demand charts.
