Indore-headquartered B R Goyal Infrastructure (BRG Infra) has secured a ₹102.05 crore order for building an underground sewerage system in Namakkal Municipality, Tamil Nadu. The order, under the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project (TNCRUDP) 2023–24 Phase I, is the company’s first in the underground sewerage segment.

The project is intended to extend sewerage infrastructure to newly added and hitherto uncovered areas of the municipality. It has been contracted by Kevadiya Construction and is expected to be completed within 24 months.

This victory is a milestone for BRG Infra, which has thus far operated in other segments of infrastructure. With this, the firm is entering a vital sector of urban development sanitation. The entry is in line with countrywide objectives to enhance public health and urban lifestyles.

In a press release, BRG Infra said the project “enhances BRG Infra’s growing presence in urban infrastructure and commitment to contributing to improved sanitation and public health infrastructure in India.”

The Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project is one component of the state’s continued effort to enhance basic urban infrastructure. Upgrading water supply, sewerage, and solid waste disposal in small towns is part of it. Namakkal, a key town in west Tamil Nadu, is among the municipalities upgraded under Phase I of TNCRUDP 2023–24.

This agreement contributes to the company’s growing portfolio and indicates its desire to pursue more urban utility infrastructure projects in the future.
