Vizag Gets ₹19,000 Cr Tech Boost: Five IT Firms Allotted Land for Major Projects

As a major push towards transforming Visakhapatnam into a digital hub, the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted land to five IT firms with cumulative investments of ₹19,000 crore. This will generate over 40,000 jobs and considerably strengthen the city’s digital and IT infrastructure.

The most significant land grants were given to Sify Infinit Spaces, which will put in an outstanding ₹15,266 crore to construct a 550 MW data centre. Allotted 3.6 acres in Madhurawada IT SEZ and 25 acres in Paradesipalem, the firm plans to generate 600 jobs.

Phenom People, concentrating on AI-enabled IT/ITeS solutions, acquired situate in Madhurawada for 0.45 acres and 4 acres in Rushikonda IT Park. The company is investing ₹207.5 crore and is expected to give employment to up to 2,500 people.

BVM Energy and Residency Pvt Ltd will build approximately 2.5 million sq ft of mixed-use infrastructure on 10 acres at Yendada, which would contribute to the tech-commercial ecosystem in the region.

30 Sattva Group, dealing with real estate and tech, has acquired acres at Madhurawada Hill No. 4 for a project worth ₹1,500 crores. Reportedly, the project estimated to generate 25,000 jobs, making it one of the most employment-generating developments in the city.

ANSR Global, considered an authority in the global capability centers, is going to invest ₹1,000 crores in establishing a Global Innovation City over 10.29 acres, expected to employ close to 10,000 professionals.

Such strategic land allocation emphasizes Andhra Pradesh’s plan of transforming Visakhapatnam into a major IT and innovation hub. With such a combination of data infrastructure for high-value, AI campuses, and innovation centers with mass employment generation, Visakhapatnam is headed to become a prominent digital destination in South India.
