Tamil Nadu Strengthens its GCC Ambitions with Strategic Partnership Signed with ANSR

Tamil Nadu has taken another decisive step toward positioning itself as India’s most attractive destination for high-value technology and engineering investments. The state has formally signed a strategic partnership with Bengaluru-based ANSR, one of the world’s leading firms in establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The agreement was executed through Guidance, Tamil Nadu’s investment promotion agency, marking a strong push to expand the state’s presence in the rapidly growing GCC ecosystem.

This partnership is expected to unlock new opportunities for multinational companies looking to set up or scale their GCC operations in India. Tamil Nadu, which has consistently built its reputation as a technology and innovation-driven state, aims to leverage ANSR’s expertise to attract global corporations seeking high-quality talent, robust infrastructure, and a supportive policy environment.

Industry Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted that the collaboration with ANSR aligns perfectly with the state’s vision of welcoming the “next wave of global corporations.” He noted that GCCs are playing a crucial role in worldwide digital transformation strategies, and Tamil Nadu is well positioned to support advanced engineering, product innovation, and technology development for global enterprises.

ANSR CEO Lalit Ahuja praised Tamil Nadu’s strong fundamentals, calling the state “a natural leader in the GCC space.” He emphasized that Tamil Nadu offers all the essential ingredients needed for global capability-building, including a highly skilled workforce, world-class academic ecosystem, and a maturing innovation culture. ANSR, which already supports more than 200 GCCs with a workforce of over 200,000 professionals, brings deep experience across digital engineering, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology functions.

The partnership aims to jointly drive investment promotion, identify emerging opportunities in high-value tech sectors, and create a structured pathway for global companies to establish long-term operations in Tamil Nadu. With GCCs expected to play an even larger role in global enterprise strategy, the state’s collaboration with ANSR reinforces Tamil Nadu’s ambition to emerge as a future-ready hub for technology, engineering, and digital innovation.
