SoftTech Engineers has strengthened its position in India’s digital infrastructure ecosystem after securing a Rs 17.16 crore contract from the Airports Authority of India. The project involves deploying a Building Information Modelling based Project Monitoring System that will digitally track airport infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle.
According to the company, the system will support planning, execution and reporting through a unified digital platform. The solution is powered by SoftTech’s proprietary CivitINFRA platform, which integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance decision making and operational efficiency for large scale infrastructure developments.
The BIM-based Project Monitoring System is designed to provide real time visibility into project progress, costs and timelines. By enabling continuous digital oversight, the platform is expected to help stakeholders identify risks early, reduce delays and improve overall coordination among multiple agencies involved in airport development.
SoftTech Engineers said the system will streamline key project functions including cost estimation, budgeting, contract management and progress tracking. With all project data consolidated on a single platform, the Airports Authority of India will be able to improve transparency and accountability across ongoing and upcoming airport projects.
A key feature of the platform is its accessibility. The system can be accessed through both web and mobile interfaces, ensuring project teams, consultants and decision makers remain connected at all times. This anytime, anywhere access is expected to support faster approvals and informed decision making on the ground.
Industry experts note that digital tools such as BIM based monitoring systems are becoming critical as India scales up airport infrastructure to meet rising passenger traffic and regional connectivity goals. The adoption of advanced digital platforms is also aligned with the government’s broader push towards technology driven infrastructure management.
With this contract, SoftTech Engineers continues to expand its footprint in the infrastructure technology space, particularly in public sector projects. The company stated that the AAI deployment will serve as a benchmark for future digital transformation initiatives in airport infrastructure, reinforcing the role of smart technologies in delivering complex projects efficiently and transparently.
