Ramco Industries Ltd, a leading player in India’s building materials sector, has announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility at Maksi in Madhya Pradesh. The board of directors approved the project during its meeting held on November 5, 2025. The plant, with an estimated investment of around Rs 180 crore, will focus on the production of Fibre Cement Boards and is expected to further strengthen the company’s manufacturing footprint across the country.
The upcoming facility will have an installed capacity of 58,000 tonnes per annum (TPA). This strategic investment is aligned with Ramco Industries’ long-term growth plan to cater to the growing demand for durable, eco-friendly, and high-quality building materials in the Indian market. Fibre Cement Boards, known for their strength and sustainability, are widely used in modern construction for wall partitions, ceilings, and exterior claddings.
By setting up this new plant, Ramco Industries aims to enhance its production efficiency, reduce supply chain lead times, and improve its service reach across central and northern India. The company’s expansion comes at a time when India’s construction and real estate sectors are witnessing robust growth, particularly driven by infrastructure development and urban housing projects.
In addition to capacity expansion, the Maksi project is expected to create substantial employment opportunities for the local population. The company has stated that the initiative will contribute significantly to the region’s economic development by generating both direct and indirect jobs, supporting ancillary industries, and promoting skill-based employment.
Once operational, the new plant will reinforce Ramco Industries’ position as a trusted name in building materials manufacturing. The company continues to invest in technology-driven, sustainable production practices to meet the evolving needs of the construction industry.
With this investment, Ramco Industries not only strengthens its business presence in Madhya Pradesh but also demonstrates its commitment to India’s vision of self-reliance and industrial growth.
