The House of Abhinandan Lodha is set to expand its presence into six new cities, including Amritsar, Varanasi, and Vrindavan, with a Rs 3,000 crore investment. The real estate firm has acquired 352 acres of land across these cities: Amritsar, Vrindavan, Varanasi, Shimla, Nagpur, and Khapoli near Mumbai. By June next year, the company plans to launch 5,500 plots in these locations.

Of the total investment, 50% has been allocated for land acquisition, while the rest will go towards development costs. The project will be financed through internal accruals and the company’s platform in collaboration with HDFC Capital. The land acquired includes over 100 acres in Nagpur, 75 acres in Varanasi, 60 acres in Vrindavan, 50 acres in Khapoli, 45 acres in Amritsar, and 11 acres in Shimla.

Lodha’s strategy is focused on cities with significant growth potential due to upcoming infrastructure projects and a growing influx of tourists. In total, the company has identified 48 cities across India that show promise for plotted development. This move is expected to cater to the growing demand for residential spaces in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, providing opportunities for both investors and homebuyers.

With this expansion, the company aims to capitalize on the burgeoning demand for plotted developments and enhance its footprint in emerging cities. The launch of 5,500 plots is expected to play a pivotal role in the company’s growth and real estate development across these regions.
