Godrej Properties Records Rs 2,600 Crore Sales in First Year of Hyderabad Operations

Godrej Properties has marked an impressive entry into the Hyderabad residential market, recording housing sales worth approximately Rs 2,600 crore within just one year of commencing operations. The performance highlights the city’s growing appeal among homebuyers and reinforces Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s fastest expanding real estate markets.

The company entered Hyderabad in January with the launch of its first residential project at Kokapet, a micro market that has emerged as a key destination for premium and luxury housing. This was followed by a second project launch during the July to September quarter. Together, the two developments generated strong buyer interest, enabling the company to cross Rs 2,600 crore in sales bookings during its first calendar year in the city.

According to the company’s leadership, Hyderabad offers significant long term growth potential, supported by steady economic expansion, strong IT driven employment and rising demand for high quality residential developments. Encouraged by the robust response, Godrej Properties has indicated that it plans to scale up its presence in the city through new launches and strategic land acquisitions.

As part of this expansion strategy, the developer recently emerged as the highest bidder in an e auction conducted by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority for a five acre land parcel in Neopolis, Kokapet. The proposed premium residential project on this site is expected to have a saleable area of around 2.5 million square feet, with an estimated revenue potential of about Rs 4,150 crore. In addition, the company has also acquired a 7.825 acre land parcel in Kukatpally, further strengthening its Hyderabad portfolio.

Across markets, Godrej Properties continues to report healthy momentum. The company posted a 13 percent year on year growth in sales bookings during the first half of the current financial year and remains confident of meeting its full year targets. With housing demand remaining resilient across major cities, the developer plans to continue launching new projects and securing land parcels to support future growth, with Hyderabad expected to play a key role in its expansion roadmap.
