Escorts Kubota Limited has launched the BLX 75 backhoe loader in India, expanding its construction equipment portfolio under the E-Kubota brand. Targeted specifically at the domestic earthmoving segment, the machine is designed to boost productivity and operational efficiency across a variety of construction applications.

The company, in regulatory filings to the BSE and NSE, confirmed that the BLX 75 will not be rolled out to international markets at this stage, underlining its current focus on India’s infrastructure growth and localized demands.

This is the next step in Escorts Kubota’s plan to strengthen its construction equipment line after it rebranded itself in June 2022. The company, founded as Escorts Limited in 1944, went through a makeover after Japan’s Kubota Corporation pumped in a sizeable equity. The organization currently operates on three major verticals: agricultural machines, construction machinery, and railway systems.

Besides the recently launched BLX 75, Escorts Kubota produces a series of backhoe loaders, cranes, and compactors. Under Farmtrac, Powertrac, and Steeltrac, it sells tractors in the agricultural sector, while its railway business unit deals with components such as braking systems and couplers to Indian Railways.

Founded in Faridabad, Haryana, it has over 14,500 employees and has manufacturing plants both in India and Poland. Its board of directors consists of Chairman and Managing Director Nikhil Nanda and Deputy Managing Director Seizi Fukuoka.

Escorts Kubota drives its R&D activities through its Knowledge Management Centre, set up in 1976, with an emphasis on innovation in agri-machinery and construction solutions. It also involves itself in CSR activities, albeit with a concentration in education, healthcare, and sustainability.

The launch of the BLX 75 aligns with the company’s mission of providing technology-based, localized solutions to aid India’s increased infrastructure and construction demands.
