Doosan Bobcat expands Chennai manufacturing facility, launches Earthforce excavator range

Doosan Bobcat India is strengthening its presence in the country with the launch of its Earthforce range of compact excavators, while simultaneously expanding its manufacturing facility in Chennai to meet rising infrastructure demand across India.

The company introduced the E18z, E33z and E53, designed to support both urban and rural construction needs. These machines are engineered for efficiency, reliability and performance across varied terrains and project sizes, aligning with India’s rapid infrastructure growth.

The Chennai expansion at Gummidipoondi includes a new manufacturing block of about 2,07,000 sq ft, significantly boosting production capacity to around 7,000 units annually. This move reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to India and strengthens its ability to cater to increasing demand from contractors and infrastructure developers.

The Earthforce excavators are tailored for Indian conditions, offering advanced hydraulics, compact design and improved fuel efficiency. The E18z supports operations in confined urban spaces, while the E33z delivers enhanced versatility for diverse applications. The E53 is suited for larger infrastructure works such as roads and industrial projects.

Doosan Bobcat India noted that the range has gained traction due to its cost efficiency, durability and ease of maintenance. Its strong dealer network ensures service support and parts availability, improving equipment uptime across job sites.

The expansion also reflects growing demand for compact construction equipment driven by urbanisation, smart city projects and rural connectivity initiatives.
