Dalmia Bharat Cement, one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, reported robust performance for the second quarter of FY26, underlining its operational strength and commitment to sustainability. The company recorded a total sales volume of 6.9 million tonnes, reflecting continued demand across key markets.
The standout highlight of the quarter was a multi-fold increase in consolidated net profit, which rose sharply to ₹239 crore, compared to ₹49 crore in the same period last year. This remarkable growth was driven by improved sales realisation, tighter cost control, and operational efficiencies across its units. Revenue from operations also showed a healthy 10.68% growth, reaching ₹3,417 crore, up from ₹3,087 crore in Q2 FY25.
In a strategic move to expand capacity, Dalmia Bharat commenced trial operations at its new 3.6 MnT clinker line in Umrangso, Assam, with commercial production expected in Q3 FY26. This expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s supply chain and meet growing demand in eastern India.
Sustainability remained a key focus during the quarter. The company commissioned an additional 93 MW of renewable energy capacity, taking its total operational renewable energy capacity to 387 MW, including group captive power. Renewable energy now accounts for 48.1% of total power consumption, highlighting Dalmia Bharat’s leadership in green initiatives. Multiple plants, including Dalmiapuram, Ariyalur, Rajgangpur, Kapilas, Rohtas, and Lanka, were recognized for energy excellence. Ariyalur, Dalmiapuram, and Lanka Cement Works earned the prestigious “National Energy Leader” award, cementing the company’s position as an industry leader in energy efficiency and sustainability.
With strong quarterly results, strategic capacity expansion, and continued focus on renewable energy, Dalmia Bharat Cement demonstrates resilience and forward-looking growth in a competitive market. Investors and stakeholders can expect continued momentum as the company balances operational excellence with sustainability commitments.
