South India’s construction and infrastructure ecosystem is once again in sharp focus with the inauguration of Build Intec 2026, one of the region’s most influential construction expos. The four-day exhibition is being held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on Avinashi Road, Coimbatore, reaffirming the city’s growing role as a hub for industrial and construction innovation.

Now in its 15th edition, Build Intec has steadily evolved into a key meeting ground for architects, engineers, developers, contractors, manufacturers and policymakers. The expo was inaugurated on February 6, marking another milestone in its journey of supporting the construction industry’s growth and modernisation. The event underlines the increasing importance of organised real estate development, infrastructure expansion and advanced construction practices across India.

The organisers stated that Build Intec was conceived with the objective of promoting the latest trends, technologies and innovations shaping the construction sector. Over the years, the exhibition has expanded both in scale and relevance, reflecting the rapid transformation underway in India’s building and infrastructure landscape. From traditional construction materials to advanced prefabrication and automation solutions, the expo mirrors the industry’s shift towards efficiency, sustainability and faster project delivery.

BUILD INTEC 2026

Build Intec 2026 features more than 250 exhibitors across over 300 stalls, spread across Halls A, B and C along with a dedicated outdoor exhibition area. The exhibition covers nearly one lakh square feet, offering visitors a comprehensive view of products, services and technologies across the construction value chain. Exhibitors from over 10 states including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan are participating in the event.

The four-day expo is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors from across the country, including architects, civil engineers, contractors, real estate developers, government officials, investors and students. The strong turnout highlights the growing demand for platforms that facilitate knowledge sharing, technology adoption and business networking within the construction ecosystem.

A key focus area of Build Intec 2026 is precast and industrialised construction. On the inaugural day, a special knowledge-sharing session was organised on the future growth of construction technologies, with emphasis on precast systems and modern construction methods. Industry experts shared insights on faster execution, quality assurance, cost efficiency and sustainability benefits associated with industrialised construction.

The exhibition floor showcases a wide range of products and solutions, including construction machinery, steel and concrete products, interiors, electrical systems, plumbing solutions, roofing materials, automation technologies and safety equipment. Innovative displays such as recycled plastic building materials, fibre glass rebars, portable containers, plastic formworks, smart toilets, pod houses, automated rainwater harvesting systems and specialty coatings have drawn significant attention.

According to the organisers, Build Intec 2026 provides an ideal platform for industry stakeholders to explore emerging technologies, exchange ideas and build long-term business partnerships. As India accelerates infrastructure development across housing, urban renewal and industrial corridors, events like Build Intec are expected to play a vital role in supporting informed, efficient and sustainable growth in the construction sector.
