HiLITE Group has begun construction of its ₹600 crore HiLITE Cyber Tower at Cyberpark in Kozhikode, marking a major addition to Kerala’s commercial IT infrastructure. The project, launched with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, will provide nine lakh square feet of Grade A office space and is expected to generate more than 10,000 direct IT jobs.

Spread across 2.5 acres, the development is designed to accommodate multinational companies, growing start-ups and research and development centres. The project is scheduled for completion within two years, with the developer planning to secure pre-leasing agreements before the building is completed.

The initiative forms part of HiLITE Group’s broader ambition to develop 12 million square feet of office space over the coming years. The company is positioning its projects to support Kerala’s expanding technology sector and attract businesses seeking modern office infrastructure outside the country’s established IT centres.

Kerala Government Sees Kozhikode as a Growing IT Destination

Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan said the government aims to strengthen Kerala’s position in advanced technology and innovation. He highlighted the potential of large-scale developments to create employment and attract investment, adding that Kozhikode could emerge as a major IT destination alongside Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

According to the Chief Minister, development projects covering 50 million square feet are expected to be completed across the state by 2030. These projects, including the HiLITE Cyber Tower, are expected to create around two lakh job opportunities in Kerala.

Industries, IT and AI Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty also expressed confidence in Kozhikode’s prospects, noting that industrial growth and private investment would be essential to creating opportunities for the next generation. He assured support for efforts to develop the city into a recognised IT and industrial hub.

Sustainable Infrastructure and Wider Expansion

HiLITE Cyber Tower is planned as a smart, energy-efficient building designed to meet stringent green standards. Its flexible office spaces will cater to businesses looking for infrastructure that supports collaboration, innovation and digital transformation.

The project builds on the group’s expanding presence in Kerala’s IT sector. Construction is already underway at HiLITE Cyber Hub in Kozhikode, while YOO Hub Trivandrum has been launched at Technopark Phase III.

For Kozhikode, the Cyber Tower represents more than a commercial real estate development. Its progress will be closely watched for its potential to attract technology companies, expand employment opportunities and strengthen Malabar’s role in Kerala’s digital economy.
