Hical Technologies expands aerospace manufacturing footprint with new Bengaluru facility

Hical Technologies has expanded its aerospace manufacturing footprint with the opening of a 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, as the company looks to increase its capacity to support global aerospace and defence programmes.

The new facility will house dedicated manufacturing lines and partnerships covering electromagnetic, electromechanical, hydraulic and control systems. These capabilities will support commercial aircraft and Rafale programmes, according to the company. The site will also feature an experience centre showcasing Hical Technologies’ broader manufacturing capabilities.

The Devanahalli facility is part of Hical’s wider investment in production infrastructure as aerospace and defence customers increasingly seek greater localisation, higher production capacity and deeper supply-chain capabilities from Indian manufacturers.

Yashas Jaiveer, Managing Director of Hical Technologies, said the new facility would strengthen the manufacturing depth required to support complex aerospace and defence programmes from India.

The company said the facility will allow it to serve global customers at greater scale while maintaining requirements around precision, reliability, traceability and process control.

Hical is also expanding its manufacturing presence in Tamil Nadu. The company is developing a 160,000 sq. ft. aerospace-qualified facility in Hosur, where groundbreaking was completed in July 2026.

The Hosur facility is being developed for precision machining, fabrication and special processes. It is also progressing towards National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) qualification, a widely used certification framework for assessing special processes and manufacturing controls in the aerospace supply chain.

Together, the Devanahalli and Hosur facilities are expected to broaden Hical’s manufacturing capabilities across multiple processes and strengthen its ability to support programme-linked production for aerospace and defence customers.

The expansion comes as India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem continues to develop a wider supplier base for global aircraft and defence programmes. For companies such as Hical, investments in precision manufacturing, quality systems and specialised processes are becoming increasingly important to participate in international supply chains.

Hical Technologies supplies precision electromechanical systems to aerospace and defence original equipment manufacturers and is expanding its manufacturing footprint to support a larger role in both domestic and global programmes.
