Global chemical company BASF is set to strengthen its footprint in India with the establishment of two major global hubs in Hyderabad. The company will launch a Global Service Hub and a Global Digital Hub, both expected to become operational in the second quarter of 2026. The development further reinforces Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a preferred destination for multinational corporations expanding their global operations and technology capabilities.
According to an official government statement, the two centres will operate as independent entities and support BASF’s international business operations across several key verticals. These include finance, human resources, supply chain management, regulatory services and in-house consulting functions. The hubs are also expected to play a crucial role in accelerating BASF’s digital transformation initiatives worldwide.
The announcement gained momentum after a BASF executive formally handed over the Letter of Intent to Telangana Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, confirming the company’s commitment to the project. The move is expected to create new employment opportunities in Hyderabad, especially in technology, analytics, consulting and enterprise support services.
Industry experts believe the investment reflects the increasing confidence global companies have in Hyderabad’s infrastructure, skilled workforce and business ecosystem. Over the past few years, Hyderabad has emerged as a major hub for global capability centres, attracting investments from leading international companies across technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and financial services sectors.
BASF’s upcoming centres are expected to focus heavily on process standardisation, operational efficiency and digital innovation. The Global Digital Hub, in particular, is likely to support advanced technologies and enterprise solutions aimed at improving the company’s global productivity and customer engagement.
The expansion also aligns with Telangana’s broader strategy to position Hyderabad as a leading global business and innovation destination. With multinational firms continuing to scale operations in the city, Hyderabad’s commercial real estate and office space demand are expected to witness further growth in the coming years.
