The Telangana government has launched a comprehensive skill development and employment initiative aimed at empowering unemployed youth through free training and assured job opportunities in the construction sector. The programme is being implemented jointly by the National Academy of Construction and EGMM, aligning with the state’s broader vision of creating a skilled workforce to support infrastructure growth.
Announcing the initiative, State Minister for Roads and Buildings and Cinematography, and Vice Chairman of NAC, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, said the scheme is open to unemployed youth aged between 18 and 35 years, with a special focus on rural candidates across Telangana. He emphasised that the construction sector continues to generate strong employment potential and that structured training can significantly improve long-term livelihood prospects.
The training programmes will be conducted at the NAC campus in Hyderabad and will be offered entirely free of cost. Most courses will have a duration of three months, during which trainees will be provided free food and accommodation. All essential learning materials, including books, stationery, uniforms, shoes, and safety helmets, will also be supplied without charge. On successful completion, candidates will receive an NAC certification and be supported with employment opportunities in the construction sector with attractive salary packages.
The courses available under the programme include Land Surveyor, Supervisor (Structure), and Junior Store Keeper, along with specialised Finishing School programmes for civil engineering graduates and MEP Technician courses for diploma and engineering students. While the majority of courses run for three months, the MEP Technician programme will be conducted over 45 days. Eligibility criteria range from Intermediate and ITI qualifications to diploma and engineering degrees, enabling participation from a wide educational base.
In addition, the minister noted that under the aegis of the Vaaradhi Trust, unemployed engineering graduates will receive free finishing school and MEP-focused training, aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Required documents for admission include:
Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, qualification certificates, caste certificate, income certificate, and five passport-size photographs.
Admissions are currently in progress, and the last date to apply is January 15, 2026. Interested candidates can contact or visit the NAC campus at National Academy of Construction, Izzat Nagar, Kothaguda Post, Hyderabad – 500084, or register online through the official NAC website. Officials said early applications are encouraged due to high demand for the programmes.
