Infrastructure major Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has been awarded a significant highway development project worth Rs 880 crore by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project involves the construction of a 46.665-kilometre stretch of highway connecting Paramakudi to Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.
This project has been secured under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), which combines elements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model and the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) system. As per the terms, the construction period is set at 24 months, with the operation and maintenance concession spanning 15 years after completion.
The Paramakudi–Ramanathapuram section is an important corridor in southern Tamil Nadu, serving as a vital route for passenger and freight movement. Once completed, the new highway will significantly enhance regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and support economic growth in Ramanathapuram district and neighbouring areas.
Dilip Buildcon, one of India’s leading infrastructure companies, continues to strengthen its portfolio with major national highway projects. The company has a strong presence across India, executing large-scale road, bridge, and tunnel projects under various models, including EPC and HAM.
Industry analysts see this development as a boost to Tamil Nadu’s ongoing infrastructure expansion, particularly in the southern belt. Improved road connectivity is expected to attract real estate investments, support industrial activity, and facilitate logistics and transport efficiency across the region.
With this win, Dilip Buildcon adds yet another milestone to its list of successful highway projects, reaffirming its position as a trusted player in India’s road construction sector.
